Is it necessary to be a part of an orchestra or an instrumental unit, or can one register individually ? Two options are offered to you (see the link "Registration") : - registration as an already existing group. - registration as an individual (musician without an orchestra) ;  you will then become a part of the "Création d'un été", an orchestra made up especially for the ORCHESTRADES, under the direction of a young Director : Sebastien BILLARD.
		Who is eligible to take part in the ORCHESTRADES ? What is the age range for participants ? All young instrumentalists from 10 to 25 years of age who have been studying music as an amateur for at least 3 years.
		Is it necessary to be of French nationality to take part ? No. The ORCHESTRADES accomodate all French and foreign musical groups from the 5 continents, without any distinction.
		What kind of music is played at the ORCHESTRADES ? All types of music are played : classical, contemporary, traditional, jazz, rock'n'roll, etc...
		Do different ORCHESTRADES exist ? In addition to the UNIVERSAL ORCHESTRADES of BRIVE there are those of CARIBBEAN, of the INDIAN OCEAN, and soon those of the PACIFIC.
		How are the meals and lodging organized ? The young people are lodged in boarding school (school establishments, youth hostels) and take their meals collectively.
		When does one know the program of the final concert ? When the music to be played is given to each musician on their arrival in BRIVE.
		How are the French participants supervised ? By monitors trained in a course registered with Jeunesse and Sports and supervised by a director (titular BAFD) and graduate organizers of the BAFA.
		What are the other activities offered in addition to playing music ? There is a swimming pool and two museums as well as various exhibitions.
		In which concerts can a group participating in the program play ? 2 concerts : - one in BRIVE during the week, - the other on Sunday, in a town near BRIVE. In addition, each group is offered opportunities for outdoor concerts.
		Is there any way to relive the memorable times experienced at the ORCHESTRADES ? Each year, a video and CD are recorded.
